To identify your unit, look for the white label inside the housing, behind the mounting plate. The part number, voltage requirement (typically 12VDC or 24VDC), and manufacture date are all there. The voltage matters: a 24V unit fed 12V will seem to work until the backplane draws more current than the supply can deliver, which mimics a keypad failure but is actually a power issue.
